During the Pandemic

Greetings from your Pastor:

Summer is here and the weather is great! The water is warm, beaches, waterfronts and marinas are busy, and if the fish are biting I sure haven't found out. The stores are also busy again. I am happy to report that our churches are now open and have been for the past four weeks. The seating capacity limits have been increased and we do have room for you. Almost everyone presently in the pews has been fully vaccinated, including Fr. Bill and myself. We are still following all health protocols to maintain a safe environment. Hopefully we are close to the end of this pandemic. I look forward to seeing all of you. I realize we all still won’t be together but be assured we will be praying for those who are not yet able to be with us. I realize it’s been a long time since the pandemic began and hopefully soon we will be back to normal.

If you are concerned due to health reasons please remain home and watch the Mass on your computer or tv. And know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

St. Marys is undergoing an outside makeover, half the roof has been re shingled, new parging on the foundation, and soon the church will be repainted. Also we will be capping Windows etc as well as getting all the outside lights to work. Please give generously so we can complete these repairs.

I would like to thank all of you who are supporting our parishes during the pandemic. When we reopened after the lockdowns we did so with very limited capacity and many of you were unable to attend. However we could not have remained open without your generous financial support. Once again I am asking that you continue to support your church. Please, if you haven’t donated to your church lately, I urge you to do so as you are able.

My prayers are with you and may God’s grace strengthen your faith during these difficult times. Hopefully we will be back together very soon.

May God continue to Bless you and your families. Fr. John
